Over the last twenty years, Cypress has placed over 1700 East Bay residents in the building trades. Our training program encompasses a rigorous 16 - weeks of instruction in green construction pathways that include certified training in Solar/ Weatherization.

We are committed to:

  • Making life changes in students
  • Promoting and upholding a standard/ honor code
  • Providing pathways to economic stability
  • Providing strong positive role models for the students to learn from producing well rounded individuals, who in turn can contribute to their families and communities
  • Noble training because it reinforces personal responsibility and accountability, while fighting poverty and crime
  • Teaching students to love, respect, and honor themselves, their community, and others.
  • Training students for careers ...and life.

Cypress Mandela is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.  We seek support from government, local businesses, contractors, developers, labor unions, foundations, and individuals.

$1,000 Journey Level Sponsor; $5,000 Major Sponsor
